Leadership
Carter Corbrey has been our pastor since 2000. He and his wife Georgia were married in 1971. They have one son, Jonathan, who is married to Alison. They have two children, Isaac and Brianna.
Carter graduated from Louisiana Baptist University and Theological Seminary in May, 2009 with a Doctor of Theology (Th.D.) degree in Bible prophecy. In 1988 he received his Master of Theology (Th.M) from Dallas Theological Seminary in Semitics and Old Testament. He graduated from Cumberland College in 1980 with a Bachelor’s degree in Religion, and from Clear Creek Baptist Bible College in 1979.
In addition to being the pastor Carter is also a professional writer. His previous experience includes pastor, associate pastor, youth director, children’s and bus ministry director, Christian school teacher, ghost writer for a nation-wide radio ministry, and curriculum writer.
Georgia is an elementary and music teacher. She is a graduate of Butler University, Jordan College of Music, with a degree in music education. She graduated from Union College with a masters degree in Elementary Education.
Carter’s desire is to accurately present the Bible in order to lead individuals to a saving knowledge of Christ, and to enable them to grow in Christ while serving Him.
